A. Because you have a setting in MS Word which auto correct your full stop (.) & comma (,) with some other characters. You should disable it by;
1. In MS Word go to File > Options
2. Then Proofing > AutoCorrect Options...
3. Go to AutoFormat as You Type and clear the checkbox (click to remove the right sign) straight quotes with smart quotes
4. Then go to AutoFormat and clear the checkbox straight quotes with smart quotes > OK > OK
And you can now type full stop (.) & comma (,) using this key marked in RED colour.
